Introduction
1890
The New Brunswick Dental Act was formed in 1890 but contained a number of limitations.
1929
The New Brunswick Dental Act was redrafted in 1929 to deal with unregistered practitioners, advertising concerns, incorporated companies and dental hygienists.
1933
Revised Bylaws and Code of Ethics were introduced in 1933. The Bylaws eliminated the separate regulatory “Council” and provided the NBDS with all powers of licensing and registration.
2015
In 2015, the NBDS celebrated it’s 125-year anniversary.
